Brakes and suspension
Brake pads, discs and drums, shock absorbers, control arms, bearings and all other mechanical work on the running gear.
One proper pothole or a knock against the kerb is all it takes to put the alignment out. The car then pulls to one side, the steering wheel sits crooked and the tyres wear out within a few thousand kilometres. We measure the alignment precisely and set it to the manufacturer’s values.
We align cars, SUVs and vans.
Inspection
We check tyre pressures and play in the steering and suspension. If something is worn, we tell you first – alignment does not hold on a worn-out suspension.
Measurement
We mount targets on the wheels and measure the values.
Adjustment
We set the toe, and the camber where needed, and centre the steering wheel.
Report
You receive a report with the values before and after.
We recommend once a year or every 15,000–20,000 km, and always after an impact, a suspension repair or when the tyres wear unevenly.
Usually not – changing tyres does not affect the alignment. But if you see uneven wear on the tyres, the tyre change is a good opportunity to check it.
The cause may also be the tyres (different pressures or a faulty tyre), a sticking brake or a worn suspension part. We rule these out during the inspection.
Yes, we also align vans. For a larger vehicle, such as a motorhome, please call us in advance so we can check it fits our equipment.
