Brakes and suspension
Brake pads, discs and drums, shock absorbers, control arms, bearings and all other mechanical work on the running gear.
An inspection coming up and you don’t want to risk a fail? We check the car beforehand and fix whatever would not pass. A vehicle registered in Slovakia we will also take through the STK and EK – the Slovak technical and emissions inspections – for you. For a car registered elsewhere we do the same check before your inspection at home or a long journey.
We are not an inspection station
The technical and emissions inspections are carried out by an STK station. We get the car ready for them and, if it is registered in Slovakia, drive it there.
You can also book an STK appointment yourself: stktvrdosin.sk
Pre-inspection check
We check everything the inspection looks at – brakes, suspension, steering, lights and their aim, tyres, exhaust, fluid leaks, corrosion, wipers and equipment.
Diagnostics and emissions
We read out the fault codes that would stop the car at the emissions test.
Fixing the faults
We repair whatever would not pass – and explain beforehand what needs fixing.
STK and EK for you
A vehicle registered in Slovakia we drive to the technical and emissions inspection and back.
Repeat inspection
If something still does not pass, we fix the fault and arrange the repeat inspection.
We also get vans, motorhomes and trucks up to 7.5 tonnes ready for the inspection. For company vehicles we can plan the preparation so that the vehicle is off the road as briefly as possible.
Yes, if it is registered in Slovakia. We take your car through the technical and emissions inspection for you and bring it back. If you like, we will collect it from you as well.
If the car is rated temporarily roadworthy, you have a period in which to fix the faults and pass a repeat inspection. We repair the faults and arrange the repeat inspection.
As a rule, no. A lit engine warning light or fault codes stored in the control unit are a reason to fail the emissions test. We recommend a diagnostic check before the appointment.
Ideally 1–2 weeks before the STK runs out, so there is time to order parts if needed.
