A fault code is only the beginning
The code “P0299 – turbo underboost” does not automatically mean a broken turbo. The cause may be a split hose, a faulty sensor or a clogged valve.
That is why we always verify a fault by measuring and checking before we suggest a repair. You save on parts that do not need replacing.
When to come in for diagnostics

The engine warning light is on (check engine) If it is amber, book an appointment as soon as possible.

The car is losing power Or it has gone into limp mode.

The engine runs unevenly It jerks or stalls.

Higher fuel consumption Or smoke from the exhaust.

Another warning light is on ABS, ESP, airbag, glow plugs or DPF.

The gearbox shifts harshly or wrongly We read the faults from the gearbox control unit too.

Frequently asked questions about diagnostics
How much does car diagnostics cost?
The amount depends on how long it takes to find the cause. Before any more demanding fault-finding we always let you know in advance.
Can I drive with the engine warning light on?
If it is amber and the car drives normally, carefully, yes – but book an appointment as soon as possible. If it flashes, is red, or the car has lost power, better not drive and call us.
Is it enough to clear the fault?
No. Clearing only switches the light off; the cause remains and the fault comes back. Moreover, with cleared faults the car will not pass the emissions test until the control unit has rechecked its systems.
Do you diagnose vans too?
Yes – Ducato, Sprinter, Transit, Crafter, Master, Daily and other vans and commercial vehicles up to 7.5 t.
